English — At seventeen, Seyna, a teenager from Cameroon is passionate about France’s history, the country where she was born and she is deeply in love. Her diploma in hand, and approaching her undergraduate, Seyna aspires only to one thing: getting the French nationality. But her father Amidou is fiercely opposed to it.
French — À dix-sept ans, Seyna, une adolescente d’origine camerounaise se passionne pour l’histoire de la France, le pays qui l’a vue naître et dont elle est profondément amoureuse. Son baccalauréat en poche et sa majorité approchant, Seyna n’aspire qu’à une chose : acquérir la nationalité française. Mais son père Amidou s’y oppose farouchement.

English — Josza Anjembe is a French filmmaker. In 2016 she directed her first short film, “Le bleu blanc rouge demes cheveux” (‘French”). The film has received many awards such as HP Bringing Borders at Palm SpringsFilm Festival, Interpretation’s Award at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Jury’s award at Off-Courts FilmFestival, and it has been screened in more than 160 festivals around the world. It has also been nominated at the Cesar 2018 for Best Short Film.

Le film a reçu de nombreux prix tels que HP Bringing Borders au Palm SpringsFilm Festival, Interprétation’s Award au Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Jury’s Award au Off-Courts FilmFestival, et il a été projeté dans plus de 160 festivals à travers le monde.
