People from diverse backgrounds call various government departments looking for answers to their bureaucratic problems. Through the comic absurdity of their discussions with this government machine, tragic situations emerge. The eight-minute staged documentary “Your call is important to us” exposes the systemic discriminations generated by rigid Canadian institutional authorities that are out of touch with everyday reality.
