About the movie
English: Massata Cissé, Burkina Faso’s only woman truck driver for 30 years, crisscrosses the ports and markets of Togo, Benin, and Niger at the wheel of a tractor-trailer. At 59, driving has become her passion and her husband. But she has no social security. Today, Massata has only one hope: to own her own truck and start a business so she can earn a living after she retires.

À 59 ans, la conduite est devenue sa passion et son époux. Elle ne dispose cependant pas de couverture sociale. Aujourd’hui, un seul espoir tient Massata sur ses jambes : réussir à avoir son propre camion et mettre en place une société afin de pouvoir continuer à gagner sa vie après sa retraite.
About the directors
Yssouf Koussé
Producer and director, Yssouf Koussé took part in training sessions on the fundamentals of documentary writing, production and international co-production in Saint Louis, Senegal; in the Produire au Sud Sahara workshop in Agadir on documentary writing and the global co-production market, in Chabaka and in the 10th edition of the Durban FilmMart. Yssouf Koussé produced and co-directed the 52mn documentary “Avant l’audience”: Festival Ciné Droit Libre 2014 (Best Burkinabè Film Award); The 8th Liège Detective Film Festival (2014): Official Competition; FESPACO 2015 (Burkina Faso): Panorama Afrique.
